A Grimm fairy tale made real. Tables laid for ghosts and elves, dripping pipes and hardboard covered windows. Once it was a majestic hotel, the crown of a vast network of steam belching monsters, and it has returned. Afternoon teas with towering cake stands, rich scones and clotted cream. A wonderful, iconic building, almost lost and then saved. This glorious painting is rich in colour with a good dash of realism.
