Local Moroccan women of all age groups meet in the town of Essaouira every evening at sundown, to socialise and unwind at the end of the day. This particular group of ladies caught my eye as they are such an eclectic mix, i composed the shot as discreetly as I could and using a fairly wide angle timed the shot when the lady in the center of the image wearing the hijab was looking directly at me. This is one of my favorite images of that field trip as I feel it captures the essence of the ambiance and culture. I hope you like it too. This image has won an online documentary photography competition. And has been exhibited twice in the UK. It has recently been one of only 40 images to be selected for print & display at the Usaji Gallery New York, following submission to an international photography competition, that attracted almost 12k entries.
