Original artwork description:

Some stories need time to grow, like a seed planted in the ground. The first image appears, then pauses and waits, takes a breath, revealing itself a little, and then pauses again, waiting.

I never force my way through a closed door and always wait for it to open and reveal what has been born behind it.

For this story, the title came along with the sketch. That rarely happens. But with certain works, the title presents itself confidently, and it’s the one thing that doesn’t change during the process. "Good Tidings"—this is what the story named itself.

The horses in my paintings have a special connection with white birds. Most often, they resemble ducks, but it varies. These birds act as guides, leading the way or sharing secrets that are only revealed when on the journey with them.

I don’t know yet what this bird is telling, but some characters here have appeared more than once. It always warms my heart to see familiar features or markings.

This story came to a large canvas, but its first phase revealed itself in this small graphic work.

Materials: cardboard, acrylic, ink, markers.

Size: 27x27 cm

Materials used:

ink, acrylics, pastel, markers, cardboard
