The goldfish came to me from childhood. My grandmother often read me the tale of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin about the goldfish. Goldfish promised to fulfil all the wishes of the old fisherman in exchange for freedom.
But at some point, the desires exceeded all reasonable limits, and the magic stopped.
As a child, I was annoyed that it was impossible to catch such a fish, but then I realized that you generally need to be careful with your desires.
But my dreams of a goldfish came true in the most enjoyable way. As an adult, I visited the Red Sea (and more than once). There, swimming among the corals, I saw many goldfish and even more beautiful fish.

The picture is painted with dry pastels on cardboard. Black cardboard treated with special pastel primer. Thanks to this processing, it becomes possible to apply several layers of pastels.
My pastel paintings are kept under tracing paper in the studio, protecting the pastel layer from damage.
