There are many beautiful lakes in the Southern Urals, where I have been living since birth. They are not as big as the Canadian lakes or, for example, the tremendous Siberian lake Baikal. But these lakes are beautiful in their way. And Lake Uvildy is especially beautiful. The bed of this lake is formed by rocks rich in mica. Therefore, the water in the lake shimmers with a mysterious brilliance, even on a cloudy day. And when it's sunny, the view is simply mesmerizing. It is even more beautiful than mother-of-pearl glitter. The sunsets on the lake are also magnificent. I managed to paint one such evening in watercolor. Perhaps later, I will create an oil painting based on this study.
