Original artwork description:

This new body of work is my continuation of exploring color while experimenting with the layering of my brushwork and combining different painterly elements and styles. The series is titled "Golden Mean", which is the desirable middle between two extremes, one of excess and the other of deficiency. Within this approach, I am taking my expressive portrait painting and then doodling over it with simple scratch marks and line work.
