Original artwork description:

Lotus is the national flower of India. In this artwork, I have used the traditional Indian motifs to accentuate the beauty of a lotus pond.

My trials with texturing has helped me create a new style of painting or 'etching' like I prefers to call it. I use a mixture of molding paste and joint compound on a canvas board or stretched canvas. Using different pottery tools I carve out the painting. I use several layers of acrylic colors and varnish to come up with an innovative artwork.

This is a double framed artwork, black mount board with antique gold ornate frame
