‘Golden Hour from Glastonbury Tor 2’

Glastonbury is an ancient and historic town in Somerset, England, dating back to Neolithic times. The tor (or hill) towers over the town and offers incredible views of the surrounding countryside. This painting was captured from the top of the tor looking east just as the sun was thinking about calling it a day.

The painting was lovingly created with impasto mark-making and palette knife work to bring to life an impressionistic interpretation of the view from Glastonbury Tor.

Finished in a handmade float frame of ash and painted in a rich dark green with hints of blue.
