Original artwork description:

Like many of my landscapes, this piece is of an imagined scene that evolves as I paint. It comprises memory, false memory and rememberings of places I have visited. This particular scene owes everything to the late great photographer, David Herrod and his masterful monochrome photographs in Waters of Cumbria. The painting is entirely original, but I hope the feeling it conveys is that encapsulated in his wonderful book, a copy of which I keep in my studio.

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness on a fine grain fully-archival canvas panel by Belle Arti measuring 30 cm by 30 cm.
The painting will be packaged following best-practice guidelines and despatched by signed for and fully tracked courier. It is signed on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

All paintings are unframed unless otherwise stated.

I endeavour to estimate shipping charges as accurately as possible. In the event of overcharging, I will refund the difference through Artfinder, and will bear the cost of any undercharging myself.

Outside of the UK and America there may be local duty / tax. If so, this is payable by the buyer prior to delivery - the postal service/courier for your country will request payment if any is due.

Materials used:

Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness.
