Original artwork description:

This 2-piece artwork (triptych) is of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco Bay. This scene is of a powerful place in my life. My brother and I have stood in the exact spot of this painting many a time.. Just to the right of this scene in the painting is a pier that we fished off of many times. From that pier you could see Alcatraz sitting in the middle of the bay. Also 2 miles down the road was the first job ever had in a grocery store on the Presidio of San Francisco. On the far left side of the painting you can see Fort Point where my Dad worked as a tour guide for the 101st Airborne Green Beret Special Forces. From there Dad had to take us back home to Kentucky when he had to serve in Vietnam. Just a few miles down the beach from Fort Point was where we lived. I would watch freighters coming and leaving the bay while laying in my bed at night. Just a few more miles in that direction was where me and my brother went to school. I have a lot of memories from George Washington high School. Mostly bad because of the times in 1969. Hard time to be an Army brat! In the painting if you look to the right side of the bridge you can see Fort Baker nestled beneath the mountains. We lived on that side of the bay for a few weeks in temporary quarters where I had to go to high school for a week in Sausalito. Geesh! Military life is rough on families for sure. A great memory I have of Fort Baker is that is where Dad would take me to teach me how to drive my first car. A 1953 TR3 .. a British Sports car. The day he had me drive back home thru the golden gate tunnel and across the bridge still makes me shiver! haha! Love this painting! I can still smell the sea and hear the seagulls squawking! This 2pc painting is sold UNFRAMED and is painted on the sides so you can hang it as is unframed.
