Original artwork description:

Painted on-site on Minnehaha Parkway in Minneapolis with oil over casein paint on canvas. An enchanting scene with fine detail, featuring a group of Crabapple trees scattered with tiny, brilliant yellow leaves, backed by a Maple with golden yellow and golden orange foliage and a tall Evergreen. The grass and fallen leaves on the ground are lit up by sunlight streaming through the branches. Bare branches create a lattice against the light blue sky. The rich red door and lantern at the door of St. James are glimpsed at the right in the shadows beneath the the tree. The texture of the foliage is enhanced by oil paint thickly applied with palette knife. Watery effects in the grass and background were created with casein paint and glazed with oil.
This painting is sold unframed with painted sides. It has a wire on the back and is ready-to-hang. The shallow stretcher bars of the canvas will fit easily into a frame if framing is desired.
