Original artwork description:

A kingfisher sitting on a bough and looking back towards us. I love to paint kingfishers as they are so beautifully coloured and their bright eyes give them such an intelligent look.
This is painted on a birch wood board which can be hung as it is or put into a frame, though I have intentionally left a border unpainted to show off the beauty of the wood.
