Shakti is the embodiment of feminine energy in Tantric Hinduism. On the left side the Sanskrit word सूर्यः (sūryaḥ) means the "sun". On the right side चन्द्रः (candraḥ) means the "moon".
The Sanskrit elements were designed in collaboration with Valters Negribs, a doctoral researcher in Oriental Studies at the University of Oxford.
