Original artwork description:

Painted en plain air (on location) at Carmel Beach, California. The colors of the sky change quickly at sunset, going from very bright, almost white, blinding light reflecting in the ocean, to more subtle transition of warm hues. I spent a couple of evenings watching this scene before attempting to paint it. I was drawn to the later stage of sunset, when colors became more muted and subtle.

Materials used to create this artwork:
Oil paint on Medium Extra Fine Oil-primed, slightly textured linen canvas. Canvas is mounted on a Sintra panel. Oil-primed surface is specifically designed to provide beautiful results with oil paints. Painting is protected with a coat of Gamvar Varnish, that gives the work a unified and protective surface.

The painting is unframed, and will require a frame to hang on the wall. Images showing the artwork framed in home interiors are for presentation purposes only. Frame is NOT included. The painting will fit in a standard (USA) 12"x16" frame.

Kindly note that not all in-context (in a room) pictures provide a true sense of scale of artwork. Please refer to listing size.
