This lovely and painstaking work depicts shops in northern France, in French Flanders. It is idealised, joyful, almost childlike. It is both realist and free. The work is part of a series of works carried out in the city. It makes a wonderful gift, a fantastic souvenir and a perfect start to an art collection.
It is on a 0.4 inch deep canvas so can hang without the need for framing.
