Our world is becoming increasingly global. Since the founding of empires and the conquest of new colonies, this world has changed in the direction of more and more connections, both culturally and ethnically. By the end of the 20th century, communication had accelerated this process many times over. Thanks to modern technology, we can now find out who our ancestors were and where they came from. As a result of this globalization process, we will carry all elements of all ethnicities within us in the future.
This series of three graphic works is dedicated to this process.
Three portraits of women of the same size were drawn, representing different cultures. These works were then cut into identical squares and assembled like mosaics or collages to create 3 new paintings.
