Artwork description:

What if a work of art could also serve as a thermometer warning us about climate change?
That's what I aimed to do with my new photograph "Global WarNing". Using a mixed technique, each leaf in this image has been hand-painted with a paint that disappears at high temperatures, causing the plants to transition from green to a dry brown. But when the temperature returns to normal, the paint becomes visible again.

It's obvious that if the leaves turn brown, it's cause of alarm... but what if the green disappears forever... and doesn't come back?

Materials used:

Hahnemühle Bamboo Natural Line, gold ink, thermochromic paint.
