'Glistening Stream' is Paul's abstraction of the many fast running glistening mountain streams sketched, photographed and foot-dipped in his native English Lake District. A real depth in texture and colour application is used in this piece to create a feel of the movement and the dulation of the water surface. The oil was applied in stages to create the rough and grainy texture. 'Glistening stream is painted on heavy canvas on a box frame.
