Original artwork description:

Driving through the Glens of Antrim I was attracted by the distant hills and the colour of the heather and bracken in their Autumn colours. The surface of the canvas was treated with texture paste to provide a rough surface. The acrylic paint was then applied with brushes first and then with a knife to provide the wild rugged look of the Glens.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint on canvas.
