Glass half full #1 - Still life with apple and glass was painted Alla prima from life. The first of three paintings of the same still life subject.

I set up this still life with the intent on painting three different versions. The first being a bit tighter, but not too blended, with a sense of realism. The idea being that I would loosen up each painting that followed. Capturing the same subject more expressively each time, yet staying true to the subject.

The painting will fit in any frame designed for an 8 x 8 inch (20 x 20 cm) as seen in the display photos. Taken with the glass out the 3 mm sealed MDF board is a perfect fit.

Shipping charges cover my costs of properly packaging the artwork, materials used, tracking, insurance is all covered. In the event that freight charges are less than paid, i will arrange a reimbursement.
