am very attracted to combinations of materials with opposite properties. In this still life you see glass and metal. Fragile, thin glass and strong metal. At the same time, they are similar in the way they reflect light. Both the metal coffeepot and the glass flask have reflections, although they are different in intensity. The colour palette of the painting is delicate. There are delicate lilac, blue and blue shades. Nothing bright and sharp.
I generally love glass in all forms. I also like to paint translucent fruit, such as grapes or pomegranates. I like the play of light in the transparent walls of glasses and bottles. Even the simplest bottle becomes a work of art. The still life is painted with dry pastels on French pastel paper Canson Mi-Teintes.
