This artwork is a 59.4 x 84.1 cm mixed media painting on cartridge paper. It is not currently framed. The listing is for the original painting only.

The surface was prepared with a few coats of gesso which were applied in a certain way that creates interesting textures. Layers of thin washes of acrylics were added before making marks using charcoals and white charcoal pencil.

This portrait is based on a black and white photograph of Gitta Schilling from 1960s.
