Artwork description:

One of the first Augustinian priories to be built in England, Gisborough Priory was founded by the Bruce family, ancestors of Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland. The print shows the ruins of the Gothic east end of the 14th Century church.

It's an original reduction linocut print, using just one block of lino and a process of carving away the lino between each layer of colour to produce the final image.

It is a limited variable print from an edition of just 16 prints using Zerkall extra smooth printing paper, 145gsm and Lawrence linseed oil relief printing inks. The image size is 30.5cm x 40.5cm and the paper size is approx 38cm x 48cm which gives a generous margin to allow for framing.

My linocuts are handmade from start to finish - hand carved, inked and handprinted, and as such they will have small variations between prints - making each print into a unique artwork. All of my prints are flat packed if delivered within the UK, and will be sent packaged in tissue and a tube if delivered outside of the UK.

If you have any questions, please just get in touch and thanks for taking a look!
