In many artworks by Zakhar Shevchuk air balloons symbolise hopes and dreams. This oil painting is not an exception. In this expressive artwork Zakhar plays with contrast of bright and happy colours of the artwork with sad expression and posture of the little girl that turned away from the pink balloon of her dreams and seems to be deeply concerned and focused on something that bothers her mind right now. She looks too serious for her age, almost like the problems she is facing came directly from the adult life, swiping away all joyfulness and happiness of her childhood.
