Some of the old towns around Shanghai still have canals running through the town which gained them the name “the eastern Venice”. The covered boat take travellers along the canals, watching others having tea in the beautiful old houses lining along the canals. The narrow streets are linked by lovely old bridges, many survived hundreds of years and are still in use. It’s becoming popular for young generations to dress in traditional dress people wore hundreds of years ago. I felt lucky to capture this girl in traditional dress emerging from the other side of the old bridge, feel like stepping back in time.
