This painting 'Girl in hanbok' presents women's strength. We have a lot of complex internal layers as human beings. Marina Ogai wishes to convey this in her portraits by 'looking deeper' then what's on the surface and giving honest and pure expression.
Artworks are richly colored, expressive, full of texture and movement. Each piece captures the emotion of her subjects, their inner beauty and individuality, strength, ethnicity and vibrancy.
