Artwork description:

A reduction linocut of the Silver Pavilion in Kyoto, Japan.

Please see also it's pair, Ginkaku-ji Sand. Where possible if both are bought together I will give you the same print numbers.

A reduction print is a relief print formed with layers of colour that are cut and printed from the same block, in this case, from lino. This is one of a small edition of prints, all of which are printed by hand so small variations occur between them making each one truly original.

This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. Each individual print is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, conservation mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean. The mounted work will fit into a 16 x 12 inch frame.

Materials used:

Printed on Somerset Satin with water-based light-fast inks, conservation mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane.
