Ghosts of the Rain

“ The city was a blur of shadows and fading light, its streets slick with rain and echoing with distant footsteps. Figures moved like ghosts, their outlines dissolving into the mist, nameless and unreachable. The air was thick with the scent of damp stone and something unspoken—an untold story lingering in the hush of the alleyways. Somewhere ahead, a lone silhouette paused, as if waiting. For a moment, time seemed to stop, and the past pressed in, just within reach, but forever slipping away.”

A cold mist blankets the narrow street, blurring the figures that move through it like shadows. The wet pavement reflects dim light, turning the city into a dreamlike haze of motion and memory. Footsteps echo softly, vanishing into the silence as if the street itself is swallowing them. In this place, time feels uncertain—faces are indistinct, moments slip away like raindrops, and the past lingers just beyond reach, waiting to be remembered.
