A limited edition hand drawn and carved Linocut print.
Printed in an edition of 15 on heavyweight Fabriano Rosaspina archival paper.
Depicting the male Ghost Moth amidst the Common Nettle and brambles.
The male Ghost Moth is given it's name because of it's white colouring and ghostly presence as it flies through the night. The Common Nettle is an often overlooked plant that has the most interesting form and textures, particularly when it is in flower. I wanted to combine all these elements to create a combination of contrasting shapes, and create a camouflage effect for the Ghost Moth.
