Original artwork description:

This is a 5"x7" gouache painting on 140 lbs 100% cotton cold pressed watercolor paper on acid free laminated sheet. 

Gouache is very closely related to watercolor. It uses the same gum Arabic binder, but has more pigment which is not ground as finely as watercolor. I use several gouache brands, like Holbein, Winsor&Newton, and Schmincke. All of these manufacturers do not add any opacifiers, but use pigments that tend to be naturally opaque and load the formulation so heavily with pigment that opacity is the result.



The painting is varnished and is safely framed without glass in a 1"-wide decorative Gold-colored frame, with a sawtooth hanger and a stand in the back, which makes it possible to display the painting either on a desk/shelf, or hang on the wall. Framed size is 8.5"x6.5"x1".
