A textured Deep Impasto palette knife painting in oil by an award winning San Francisco Bay artist, featuring a colorful and textured landscape painting.



This painting was inspired by my plein air trip to Capitola Beach near Santa Cruz during the springtime. On a mild California morning, I saw this vista of the beach and pier with the sweet peas in the foreground, gently framing the Pacific ocean. I painted a small study from life, and then painted a larger version back in my studio.
