Looking SE along the East face of the island of Boreray in the St Kilda group some 40 miles West of the outer Hebrides on a day of fresh Northerly wind. A group of gannets from the offshore stacs of Lee and An-Armin wheel and soar eyeing the broken water for a sign of the summer herring lurking beside the underwater cliff faces.
