Mahatmas Gandi was born October 1869 and died January 1948. He was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist and political ethicist who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule, and to later inspire movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. Gandi was a major inspiration to Martin Luther King, Jr.
Gandi is a one of a kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on Dura-Lar 5 mil artist mylar mounted on tempered masonite. This work is a combination of collage and paint. The image of Gandi, his handwritten text and a page from his book were graphically reproduced and laminated to the mylar surface that I paint on. The remainder of the work was produced with acrylic paint and india ink.
I only sell original work so there will only be one original.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on tempered masonite with a two inch wide painted border. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
