Original artwork description:

Roasted Hero is the name of paintings reacting on story about Gallo de Barcelos. There are 3 paintings of roosters pictured as they were ready to be eaten and two another roosters are stripped with decorative ornaments on their bodies, what should ironize the heroism of the legend. Rooster, that saved the life of innocent Galician was already roasted during making the heroic deed. We know plenty of national legends, who became popular and admired after their brave deed that they died for. But not so many of those, who died and after it made something heroic (excluding divine and spiritual beeings). So I imaged the rooster with his typical decorations in his mocking and dishonouring state – as a food.
