Original artwork description:

'Galaxy 5' is an installation or set of 5 paintings each of which is 6" x 6" x 0.6".

I have always been inspired by the use of Gold, White, and Black and how these colors interact with one another when used together in an acrylic pour. The paint is poured onto the canvas and is then manipulated through movement and other techniques to result in an unexpected outcome over several hours to a few days (depending on dry time)

The paint has been allowed to spill over the sides of the canvas to emphasize the immediacy of the technique

A high gloss varnish has been applied to protect the works and provide a glass-like finish

These paintings work beautifully as a set of 5 which may be hung as desired either in a grouping, vertically, or horizontally. You may even choose to keep three as a grouping and give the others away as gifts! See the images for ideas.

Each painting is signed on the back and ready to hang with wire attached.

The overall measurement of the installation has been determined by totaling up the dimensions of the 3 paintings on the top and adding 1 inch in between each work
