Original artwork description:
A watercolor portrait in my distinctive style. I love these gentle giants and make an effort to bring out the personality of each animal. Color and texture play a huge part in my art and sometimes by replacing the neutral browns and grays of the animals I try to help the viewer see them in a different light.
The texture of the leathery skin with its wrinkles, folds and bumps has been created using tiny strokes of color; and the natural dusty grey is replaced by a brighter brown, complimented by some purple.
The paper is Arches cold pressed 140 lb. I use best quality watercolors by Daniel Smith and Winsor and Newton to create my paintings, which are vibrant and long lasting. The painting is unframed and will ship in a sturdy postal tube.
I will also send a signed certificate of authenticity.
