Words and meaning.
I see the Purbeck islands from Shipstall beach at Arne nature reserve, Dorset. There are five islands in total and you can also get on a scenic cruise boat to experience them all. I have always been intrigued by them for years and it’s such a special area of Dorset for wildlife and marine life.
I created this original watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper 425 gsm 200lb bockingford. I was showing one of my art students recently how to do the base line technique using a three colour mixture. It was totally experimental and the paper was wet throughout the process.
