Original artwork description:
Ermellino is part of the last series of works of 2024 where I introduced a different background work from the previous works. I replaced the flat colors with various types of painted papers and worked with acrylic colors also using multiple paper overlays. The animals that were previously on a neutral background without references, in this series are represented in hinted and suspended environments. The ermine in Leonardo's famous work "Lady with an Ermine" the animal is a symbol of purity and incorruptibility, the qualities of the free and pure Spirit, freed from the chains of one's fears.
