Original artwork description:

My family and I recently went out of town into the forest. The weather was warm considering the winter—only minus 15 Celsius. For us, the inhabitants of the Urals, it is warm.
We went out for a walk through the pine forest when it was still light. We strolled, enjoying the silence, fresh air and white snow. There is usually no white snow in the city in the middle of winter.
By the time we got back, it was already dark. And suddenly, we saw in the distance behind the pines a giant bright lantern.
But there couldn't be any lanterns here! We stopped, looked closely and realized that it was the moon.
It was the full moon that day. And it is not surprising that we mistook the moon for a lantern. She even had a red-orange halo, almost like the sun.
The spectacle was impressive. Of course, I wanted to draw this picture. And here it is in front of you.
I painted the picture with acrylic on thick canvas. I didn't even have to put it on a stretcher. I left the fields for decorating the canvas in a baguette.
You can enhance the graphic effect of the picture and arrange it not only in a baguette but also in a passe-partout.

Materials used:

professional acrylic paints; canvas
