'Full Circle' 24 inch Diameter circular stretched canvas
Oil on canvas. Varnished, strung and ready to hang.
One of two paintings entered in a themed exhibition (full circle)
Centrally placed the moon shows all its phases while the circle of hares depicts a young hare running head long with the adult hare looking outward from the canvas. The elderly hare looks back at its life.
Note that each hare has a set of ears yet only three ears are painted.
Between rump and head of the hares shows morning swallows of summer, evening autumn crows and night time winter geese.
The Mickey mouse clock from my childhood then the later Elvis clock to the little clock I have now in later life all show a four hour time difference completing a 12 hour full circle.
The outer circle shows a youngster with spring colours around while the older girl is in full summer with the warm red. The mid life has autumn shades while the old woman has the cold of winter colours.
Nine full circles, eleven if you count the canvas and the full moon.
