Original artwork description:

Fuji Fire - Original Watercolour Painting

An original watercolour of Mount Fuji for the lover of all things Japanese.

It is 28cm wide and 12cm high.

On the back are some paint swatches - see photo. These cannot be seen through the super thick paper and will not detract from this painting in any way whatsoever.

This is an unframed painting on sumptuous 100% cotton paper by Two Rivers in England.
It shows of the textural features really beautifully and is acid free for longevity.
I wanted to paint a semi-abstract version and use a black, rose and red colour scheme instead of the usual natural ones for dramatic effect.

I enjoyed creating jagged scars that carve shapes down the side of Mount Fuji and using gorgeously granulating paint for that volcanic rock feel nearer the base.

I will pack your painting very rigidly for total protection in transit.

Thank you for visiting my gallery. Your purchase today will help keep art and culture in our midst! Thank you - Alison Fennell
