Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by a trip to the Cairngorm area of Scotland on a very cold winter's day a few years ago. The sun has almost gone but the clouds are stained a deep terracotta colour, as is usual after a clear day in winter. The loch is frozen although there is section through the centre which has melted and is reflecting the colours of the sky.
