Occassionally I like to work in a watercolour-like way with Black Indian Ink and a Squirrel Hair brush. I like to create expressive monotone paintings, the simplification to black and white gives an air of sophistication!
this was painted at a stunning churchyard on the Island of St Mary's on the cornish archipeligo of the Isles of Scilly, overlooking a small group of cottages on the opposite hillside. Painted on light blue/grey watercolour paper with torn ages, making it perfect to float mount
