Utilizing the motif of the Apple logo's rainbow palette, this rendition of Steve Jobs breathes life into the creative genius that powered his endless ambition for innovation.

Rigid, geometric patterns juxtaposed against the organic flow of color emulate the integration of man and machine, paralleling the crossed perceptions of Jobs as both a genius and a madman.

In order to do justice to his legacy, I scaled this portrait up to a generous, larger-than-life size of sixty by fifty inches. I built upon work already established by photographer Albert Watson, composing my interpretation through an intimate crop rendered in a way that both honors and challenges the pursuit of elegance through simplification.
