Artwork description:

Did you know that there are more than 5000 species of frogs in the world? That they make up 88 percent of all amphibians? That they can breathe in water and on land?
I believe, we often have very little information about the living world that surrounds us.
Frogs are an interesting animal and mankind has always paid attention to them. For example, in ancient Egypt, the frog was a symbol of emerging and always renewing life due to its reproductive capacity and probably also the visible transformation from an egg to a tadpole and from it to a four-legged adult. The primordial gods born from mud in ancient Egypt were often depicted with a frog's head. The birth goddess Heket, a benevolent helper in folk belief, was depicted as a frog.
You can also see this sculpture of a frog as an animal, but also as a symbol of the cycle of life. It's up to you whether you buy it for any reason...

Materials used:

bronze and marble
