This is an acrylic painting of a fried egg on a mini canvas, but it's an egg with a rare double egg yolk inside.

Double yolkers are thought to occur in less than 0.1% of eggs – or one in 1,000. The rarity led people in the past to label them as being lucky for the person who finds them.

It is a colourful and unique piece that is sure to light up any room in the house, but it would probably look best in the kitchen.

My previous customers have often bought more than one of these smaller canvases, they look great hung together, as shown in the last picture.

It is painted in acrylics on a stretched cotton canvas that's ready to hang.

15cm x 15cm
Roughly 1/2 inch or 1.5 cm thick.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.
