This is an acrylic painting of a fried egg on a mini canvas, but an egg with the rare double egg yolk inside.

Double yolkers are thought to occur in less than 0.1% of eggs – or one in 1,000 – according to the British Egg Information Service. The rarity led people in the past to label them as being lucky for the person who finds them.

I love to paint foods in a bright, bold, colourful pop art inspired style. Imagine how great this would look in your kitchen or living room, Or anywhere for that matter.

It is painted on a stretched cotton canvas that's ready to hang.

Roughly 1 inch or 2 cm thick.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.
