Surreal portrait of a woman with a Lemon basket.
This work represents semi-self-portrait in imaginary settings.
A personal tribute to the queen Frida Kahlo and the lemon trees in my old family home.

My love for lemon and, oranges has begun with the memories of my childhood family home.
Where there was an orchard of citrus trees on the side of the house and thousands of sweet fruits were blessing us throughout the year. Most of them were constantly shared with neighbours, temples and churches.

Process: Creative expression through medium manipulation and
idea generation from personal stories are the approaches of realising this piece.
Beautiful complimentary colour display with patiently rendered rhythmic flow patterns of my signature stripes.

* Deeply expressive facial features and body movements in my works are highly influenced by my cultural heritage and decades long figure studies of historical frescoes and murals in spiritual locations from my birth country.
