I started this fresco wishing to break with my habit of drawing scenes after model,
realistic scenes from my photos taken during my trips.
With this fresco, far from me the idea of representing a predefined theme,
but on the contrary have I followed the thread of my brush, drawing at the option of my everyday life and my memories.
The one who would look for a specific meaning or message in my painting would go astray.
On the contrary, there are traces of my epoch, subjective traces, memories, and the imprint of a few months of my life in this year 2019.
You can contemplate over the sheets, my taste for Asia, my French culture and my American pop culture,
figures that I appreciate, concepts that matter to me, a little history, all this connected by the thread of meaning,
words, lines, like a life-line crossing the ages and symbolized here by a golden thread, unfolding like a book with loose pages.
I decided to call it fresco because of its length, its prolixity, the ability to read several stories related to an era,
also for sentimental reasons related to my ancestry for half Mexican, with all the tradition of murals that it includes and Diego Rivera
depicted on sheet 14 is one of the worthy representatives.
