This beautiful beach at Portencross in Ayrshire, looks across towards the Isle of Arran on one side and Ayr on the other. Scotland has many wonderful beaches and many of them are often deserted. The soft colours here in this minimalist composition, create a soothing atmosphere, looking out towards the horizon under soft peachy clouds that drift across the sky.

About My Materials

Arches-Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon.

Arches paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp for their materials only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
